name game

hey guys. check out the picture at your right. yep, that's my new (japanese spitz) puppy, almost 2 months old. so sorry i don't have a better shot of him. i just got him last week so we're still in the getting to know each other stage. :P (pau's note: i changed the picture. hope you find it cuter ^_^)

anyway, help me pick out a name! i just ran out of cute puppy names (what, with all those pets who died in the last several months). usually kasi, after someone tells me she's gonna give me a puppy, my mind goes berserk and *boom!* i already have a host of names to choose from. when i get the puppy, i just give him/her the name that fits. but now, i'm having trouble giving him the perfect name. before i knew its sex (and breed), i wanted to name *it* kimmy, after kim clijsters and kim stolz from america's next top model. but when i got him, kimmy just doesn't seem to fit (besides the fact that it's too girly). i'm thinking of a japanese-inspired name, since he's a japanese spitz after all, but my mind is absolutely blank.

the poor thing has been nameless since his birth, so please help me out!

urgh. la shriekapova vs fat-a$s serena in aussie open women's singles finals. double urgh.

caught between a rock and a hard place. on one paw, i don't particularly like serena, plus it would look so bad for the tour if an unfit player with very little training would win a major. on the other paw, i definitely do not want glam girl maria to hoist another grand slam trophy for the second time in a row. *sigh* why didn't the heat do her in during the first round? why is her draw always so ridiculously easy? why wasn't kim able to beat her in the semis? *sigh*

i miss justine. the women's singles has been very boring so far, with the players just slugging it out from the baseline. the men's singles is slightly more exciting (despite the fact that federer is sure to win again) as the players ventured to the net once in a while. oh well.

goodbye, chiqui

First, Justine withdraws, now this. My beloved Chiqui got hit by, er, several cars early this afternoon. Poor thing. I can't be sure, but she's probably in the early stages of pregnancy, as she had recently been in heat (for the first time!) last week.

*sigh* This year isn't starting so good. (Care to check that, Grammar Police?)

She's not gonna play in Aussie!

Shocking news: Justine withdrew from the Aussie tour due to "personal family problems."

Dammit! I can not believe this! What a great way to start the year. Pfft. And I was soooo looking forward to watching Justine play in the Aussie open this month. I’m depressed all over again. Ooh, I bet Screamapova is jumping for joy with the number 1 rank practically handed to her in a silver platter. Dammit dammit dammit!

Oh well. Murphy's Law at work. Or maybe she did something terribly wrong in her past life that the gods of cosmic karma are toying with her like a cat with its prey. Just when everybody thought her career is back on track again... Tsk. Poor Justine. I wonder what those problems are. Of course, there are a lot of speculations in the media, but I’d rather wait for her official statement on Friday. I hope it's nothing serious...

Stop kidding yourself, Pau. Withdrawing from several tournaments in one go, especially when she's the reigning world number 1? It's gotta be very serious. Nyargh, can't stand the suspense of not knowing why. But then again, maybe I don't wanna know.

Being in a limbo is so frustrating.
